Carrboro Bandstand Dedication

Years after the original plans were completed and fundraising for the project began, the Carrboro Bandstand was dedicated on October 1, 2001 with a concert by the Village Band. Included in the original Town Commons plans, bandstand construction was put on hold until funds were raised for completion. Carrboro resident Bob Wright sold t-shirts and bricks for years in a fundraising effort most Saturdays at the Farmer's Market. The final funding of around $15,000 was contributed by former Carrboro resident and lawyer Jay Bryan, on behalf of an anonymous donor.

Sure looks good doesn't it?
