THE BODY IN MOTION THE BODY IN MOTION art exhibit will be on display at the Carrboro Branch Library in McDougle School from June 14th - October 30, 2006. This exhibit is a celebration of the dynamic qualities of the physical body. It is one of a series of four at the Carrboro Branch Library this year focusing on various aspects of food, its production, consumption and contribution to the maintenance of a healthy, active, body. Curated by Library Art Committee member and fiber artist Alice Engel Levinson, this exhibition promises to be an exciting assortment of multimedia images by Catherine Carter, Steven Clarke, Peter Filene, Murray Handler, Alice Engel Levinson, Alex O’Connor, ElaineO’Neil, Linda Passman and Guy Wilkins. A reception to meet the artists, featuring juggler John Hoffman, will be Sunday, June 18, 2 - 4:30 pm. In October, the Library will stage a multimedia performance workshop by photographer Steve Clarke, who specializes in dynamic 919-images of dancers.
