Carrboro Family Medicine
Moves To Their New Home June 1

Carrboro Family Medicine Center's new facility at 610 Jones Ferry Road in Carrboro

In the early 1980's Dr. Jim Manor opened Carrboro Family Medicine at Willow Creek Shopping Center in Carrboro. Now, nearly 2 decades later, Carrboro Family Medicine prepares to move into a new home just a little ways down Jones Ferry Road from the first location at 602, to their new location at 610 Jones Ferry Road. The new 40,000 square foot building known as the Willow Creek Professional Center will also house a radiology facility for x-rays and a lab for tests, expanding the services offered in one spot.

Dr. Bruce Wilks joined the practice a few years later, after graduating and performing his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts. North Carolina native Rebecca Hasmann has her degree in Primary Care from UNC Chapel Hill, and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Joining the group as they move into their more spacious facility is Physician's Assistant Beth Edwards, also an NC native, and a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Medicine. These health care providers are who will take care of you and become your friends when you visit Carrboro Family Medicine Center.

Together with Dentist Stephen Randall, Optometrist Blair Woodard, Clinical Researcher Betsy Hackney, and Leap Technology, the Willow Creek Professional Center prepares to open for business, with the Carrboro Family Medicine Center beginning operation in their new facilities on June 1, 2002.

"Right now we're having to work in shifts," says Dr. Wilks of the Willow Creek location. "There just isn't room for all of us in the office at the same time."

That will all change when the new facility, which consists of 6500 square feet of space, with 12 patient rooms, opens for business.
