Upon arrival at Town Hall, there was an abundance of entertainment and activities. There were patriotic tunes from the Village Band, clogging by the Cane Creek Cloggers, music and more from Janet Bratter, Niki Baker, Gospel Inspiration, Boys of Walltown, and the Square Heels. Tha paint board was a great place to express your feelings of patriotism. The huge scrap exchange area was a popular spot with creative folks of all ages. Many masterpieces were created.

Relay race participants in the younger age groups were at times somewhat reluctant, but the water play area was a hit on this steamy North Carolina day. Folks gathered to catch up with the latest news, play checkers, bingo or horseshoes, or see a performance by Rags to Riches theater group, David Gulick, Uncle John, Alex Weiss, Tate the Great, or Androgeena.

As activities continued throughout the day, we ended our Carrboro Fourth by strolling back down to lunch at the Armadillo Grill. Later, coming home from Durham, we had a birdseye view of the Carrboro/Chapel Hill fireworks at Kenan Stadium when we stopped at Glen Lennox. Ahhh...another day in Carrboro.
