Its kite flying season! Carrboro's 26th. Annual Kite Fly will be held on Sunday April 18, 2010 from 1 - 3:30pm at Anderson Park in the rear field. This event is held at the onset of Spring each year, and provides an opportunity for young and old to come out and enjoy the sunshine, while honing their kite aviation skills. Come fill the skies with colorful kites! Whether you are 2 or 92, kite flying is an activity that can be enjoyed at any age. Ribbons awarded to all participants - young and old! This is a great outing for family and friends. Bring out your kite and enjoy the fun! Free! Kids can come at 1 pm and design their own paper kites! Lessons for inexperienced flyers will be offered as well! There is no rain date scheduled for this event. This is a free event presented by Carrboro Recreation and Parks.
