CARRBORO--Friday August 10, 2001
The setting was Century Hall at the Century Center. It was the grand finale for the Imagination Combination Camp, a summer camp offered through Carrboro Recreation and Parks.

Amid the potted plants, barren Christmas trees, cardboard castle front, and painted backdrop, the children took to the stage to present Robin Hood, a Comic Farce.

As they related the legend of Robin Hood and played out the story on the stage, comic moments peppered the performance. When a battle was about to occur, a silly dance preceded it.

The audience of friends, family, and staff thoroughly enjoyed it as the cast of kids spread their wings in this comic presentation. The pieces of gold Robin Hood robbed from the King's man were hersheys kisses that were flung into the audience, redistributing the wealth.

Directing the presentation was camp counselor Tony Larson, with Kera Averill and Heather Roberts assisting. We congratulate them and the children for a delightful performance and a job well done.
