The band Storm Front has been based in the Carrboro/Chapel Hill North Carolina area for over 10 years, although each of its members has played with bands form D.C. to Poland. They each have diverse experience and styles, from country to jazz to hard rock. Their repertoire includes blues, southern rock, jazz, and rockabilly. Their original songs range from sad to soulful. Storm Front consists of Steve Moriarty, Dan Lee, Joy Storm, and Jurek Kozakiewicz.

Steve Moriarty

Steve Moriarty is lead guitarist, vocalist, writer/arranger, equipment co-manager, and multi-instrumentalist. He has played in bands from Boston to Newfoundland, covering the NC and Virginia circuit in all types of settings. He was in the Coast Guard band, and has played lead for country and hard rock groups, and writes his own music. Steve has adopted Chapel Hill as his home for 30 years. His reputation precedes him in many musical circles with his fast licks and bold, high energy stage presence.

Dan Lee

Dan Lee is also lead guitarist, wirter/arranger, and equipment co-manager. He is well known for his smooth, precise guitar skills, which from time to time cannot be followed by the naked eye. Most of his vast experience is right here in his home state of North Carolina.

Joy Storm

Joy Storm plays bass, and is a lead and harmony singer/writer. She has been described in the papers as "belting" vocals, but can reach into soft, sad places, as well as make fun of it all. She has played and sung in the D.C. circuit as well as locally.

Jurek Kozakiewicz

Jurek Kozakiewicz plays drums and has been known to sing with bands from Raleigh and Durham. His 20 years of playing in a Poland based dance/request group before he made NC his home, has polished him to a smooth, fine finish with a multitude of chops that make you want to dance.
