37. Yellow Jacket
Rescued cedar fence posts, concrete
Mark Hewitt

Some suggest it’s a convict on the lam, but “Yellow Jacket” hides nothing, and will sting only your imagination. Stately, but not stiff, this mighty pot’s volume and linearity give its Southern folk pottery origins a Neo-Classical aspect, thereby combining conviction with town and country, intellect and intuition, the casual and refined.
